Technology is incorporated into the daily curriculum at Saint Augustine School.
Each classroom is equipped with a smart board. These smart boards present multi-media course material and can be used in interactive mode to help students develop their knowledge and skills.
There is a dedicated computer lab with 30 computers running Mircrosoft Windows. Topics covered range from basic use of mouse and keyboard for younger students through advanced topics on programming and building presentations for older students.
The school has 120 Chromebooks. Students in grades K-8 use Chromebooks to access i-Ready to help with mastering topics in Mathematics and Reading. i-Ready combines adaptive diagnostics with personalized instruction. The adaptive diagnostics identify areas where students need additional development. The teachers use these suggestions to build personalized lesson plans for each student. The i-Ready system is used as part of a blended learning environment combining teacher instruction, computer based lessons and individual study. Additional information about i-Ready can be found at the
Curriculum Associates website.
Students in middle school also use the Chromebooks for research and preparation of presentations.
