The scholastic Book Fair is returning to St. Augustine School on Saturday, Dec. 2nd. Come visit our Craft Fair, and stop in to the Library for the annual Book Fair. This year as last, you may set up an online wallet for your child. They do not need to come to school with cash, makes things so much easier for all. On Thursday Nov. 16, and Fri Nov. 17, SAS will have Report Card pick up and Parent Teacher Conferences. You should have received an email from you child's teacher with a conference schedule sign up, or if in Jr. High, a time to pick up your child's report card and then you may see the teachers in the gym. Please refer to the instructions from your child's teacher for more specifics. Please also note that there is NO AFTERCARE on THURSDAY Nov. 16th. Enel North America is a clean energy leader working to electrify the economy and build a zero-carbon future, developing wind, solar and battery storage sites along with other advanced energy technologies across the U.S. Enel has arranged with the Archdiocese of New York and our parish to lease a portion of land on our unused lower field, away from all parish and school activities, to install a state-of-the-art battery system. All local, county and state requirements have been met, and the site will be monitored remotely 24/7 by Enel’s operations center. The lease will bring yearly income to our parish, support power grid reliability, and help enable the adoption of more renewable energy onto the grid.
Each year we are required by the State of NY to conduct an Emergency Management Plan Rapid Early Dismissal. This year it will be held on Friday October 6th. Please click for instructions from the Principal.

The new Saint Augustine playground has now officially opened. It was built and funded by donations made in honor of Dennis Manwaring’s dedication and commitment to our school. We thank the Manwaring family for their hard work and generosity in making this new playground happen. A formal blessing and dedication will be done at a later date.
Monday, September 18th is School Picture Day! Irv Simon the photographer will be here to take all the students Individual Pictures! No uniforms on Monday, it's a Dress Up Day!! Click for more info on ordering. Class Photo day is the following week, Tuesday Sept 26th, the students wear their uniforms on that day for their class photo with their teacher.

If you prefer to continue to pay in cash, please bring your payment to the School Office, envelopes are provided. Home & School and Technology Fees are due by September 22. St. Augustine relies on our wonderful parent volunteers for various needs throughout the school year. One of our most important volunteer jobs is Cafeteria volunteer! Students need assistance with buying lunches, opening packages, reminding them to take their jackets when they go outside and cleaning tables in between lunches. We have added a new page to the website dedicated to our PreK parents and students. We will post here throughout the year information for our PreK parents. Your child's teacher will be your MAIN source of information, but general info and procedures etc. will be posted here as well.
Please note that the preliminary School Calendar has been posted. It covers only the months from July through October. We are still in the process of finalizing the balance of the school year. This should help families have an idea of the various events and schedules for the beginning of the new school year. The completed Handbook & Calendar will be distributed on the first day of school.
