Dances are under advisement for the coming year, as the Covid19/Delta Variant is still amongst us. More information will be forthcoming.
SAS will follow all CDC and Board of Health guidance as the school year begins and will proceed accordingly. The below information is for information only and will be revised as needed based on all health and safety protocols.
The HomeSchool Dance Cordinators are Amy Henry, Norma Macaluso and Wendy Smith.
The SAS Home and School Association holds 3 dances throughout the school year for the Junior High, for Grades 6-8 only. In general, there is a Halloween/Fall dance in October, a Valentine's Dance in February and an End of School dance in June. Dates are subject to change, so please check the calendar for specifics.
This is a drop off event, students must stay for the entire dance, no early departures or early drop offs. Please see below PDF with instructions for drop off and pick up, and additional details.
The dances are held in the cafeteria and are free of charge. Home & School provides beverages and light snacks, there is a DJ and there are chaperones. Dress code is relaxed, however, attire must be within appropriate parameters, jeans, sneakers are permitted, but nothing risque or suggestive, use good judgment and have fun!
