Our school students this year were learning the tradition of praying the Angelus at Noon. Traditionally the Angelus would be prayed three times a day: 6:00 am, 12:00 Noon and 6:00 pm.
During the Easter Season, the Regina Coeli is prayed in its place. So while we have some time at home together, perhaps we can learn to pray the Regina Coeli and revive an ancient tradition!
Easter Season runs from Holy Saturday until Pentecost Sunday, which is May 31, 2020..
The Regina Coeli:
Queen of Heaven, rejoice. Alleluia.
For He, whom thou wast worthy to bear. Alleluia.
Has risen as He said. Alleluia.
Pray for us to God. Alleluia.
V. Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary. Alleluia.
R. Because the Lord is truly risen, Alleluia.
Let us pray
O God, Who by the Resurrection of Thy Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, hast been pleased to give joy to the whole world, grant we beseech Thee, that through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, His Mother, we may attain the joys of eternal life. Through the same Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Quia quem meruisti portare, alleluia,
Resurrexit, sicut dixit, alleluia:
Ora pro nobis Deum, alleluia.
FATHER'S KITCHEN RUMINATIONS
“God walks among the pots and pans” - St. Teresa of Avila
While thinking of my “parish family in exile” and how life has changed for so many, I recalled a prayer that hung in the kitchen of my childhood, and now in our parish rectory. The duties of family care can seem overwhelming at times, but remember they can be a form of prayer, “God walks among the pots and pans”.
